SCHOOL INFORMATION
well you know the rules of the site, but what's up with this school? how does it work? run? what are its policies? this is a quick rundown, and if you have any questions feel free to ask an admin. don't be shy. C:
‣ the school's colors are royal blue and creamsicle. they are the nobletown knights.
‣ the school is placed on a mountain, meaning high elevation. temperatures are generally cool, with snow on the ground most of the year.
‣ they do not have a uniform, but their dress code is the typical, "do not dress like a slut, do not dress like a gangster" ordeal.
‣ students who are admitted show potential and have at least some sort of responsibility or leadership skills. there is an interview, along with the application which you must provide examples or show interest in the major (subgroup) you're applying to get in for.
‣ nobletown academy is known for its art programs, english, music, photography, acting, art, etc., as well as its powerhouse athletes. everything is a competition. they do have strong teachers in their math and science programs, but it is not what they're known for.
‣ the tuition is quite hefty for a high school. it covers paying the teachers, house expenses, athletic equipment, laptop checkout, and transportation to all school events. students do get monthly allowances from this tuition to spend on food and clothes- they have to learn how to utilize budget skills. the money is all on their id card. extra cash is streamed to you if your achievements in the past month. of course, you may have extra cash from your parents or you can take a job. for the students, the id card is their life. if they lose it, they're screwed. you have to sit through four saturday detentions if you need to replace it. freshmen learn quickly.
‣ there are plenty of part and full scholarships available, if a pupil is good, nobletown will want to prime them.
‣ all students must live in a house with other students their age and gender. curfew is at eleven o'clock every night except saturday night, all students must be inside and quiet by that time. it's quite obvious if you're out, since the only people who live in this town are students and the employees of the school and of the shops.
‣ the only time the students may leave nobletown is for a sporting or academic event (and holidays of course). the next town isn't for miles away.
‣ the ski resort is quite popular amongst the students. the chairlifts run until 10:30pm. the lodge is above the timber line, and the view is gorgeous.
‣ it is easy to get privileges revoked or kicked out. no bullying will be tolerated. no drug use or alcohol. if you have sex and get pregnant, you die~ tardies are unacceptable, and parties that go past the curfew will get everyone involved in trouble.
